Abortion is a private issue that most women and men feel uncomfortable discussing. The mystery surrounding abortion can be scary and disturbing. There are two ways to procure abortion in a clinic, either medical or surgical abortion. Medical abortion involves taking two types of medicine at two different times. Surgical abortion is when the pregnancy is removed vaginally by a professional doctor.
The most feared question is what happens after procuring an abortion. Apart from experiencing bleeding which can either be spotting or heavy clots, depression kicks in. Most women experience sadness and emotion turmoil. The guilt is so profound to the point of suicidal attempts. It is advised for patients who experience depression to seek post-abortion counselling.
The chances of an abortion going wrong cannot be ignored. Some women die on the table while undergoing abortion. While others get complications where they cannot bear children.
Abortion is a bitter experience and should be avoided as much as possible.
